Statewide schedule — read this before you rely on it
Collectors use the statutory February 1 date; only optional partial-payment plans that some boards of supervisors adopt change the schedule. Most counties in this state follow these dates.
Interest accrues at one-half of 1% per month from February 1, and land with unpaid tax is sold at the county tax sale on the last Monday in August.
The tax collector must begin accepting payment by December 26, and bills go out once the roll is delivered in the fall.

Not yet. Smith County is on the queue: we publish a county's own published dates once they have been checked against the county website. Ask for it and it moves up. Until then, the Mississippi statutory schedule above is the reliable starting point.
